If you've ever owned a Mercedes, you probably know their seats were made with long-term comfort in mind. That's why I chose to build a Mercedes chair for my office over a year ago and it truly is comfortable all day long. This auction is for the fifth Mercedes chair I've built. This office chair was made by combining a brand new donor office chair with a seat removed from the passenger side of a Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.6. It started out as a power seat but has been converted to manual adjustments. It has been thoroughly cleaned and is in very nice overall condition as you can see in the pictures above.
The seat is upholstered in its original Palomino MB-Tex and the only imperfections it has are shown in the pictures. The small cut shown is on the seat back several inches below the armrest. Another picture shows several pin holes next to the headrest. Not all are photographed and I count six total there. Another picture shows two pin holes / small cuts in the seat cushion. These are difficult to photograph and I count ten total in that area. Some are no larger than the holes intentionally put in the material to help it breathe, but I don't want there to be any surprises.
MB-Tex is a material that looks like leather, but does not shrink, crack, peel, cut, or wear near as easily as leather. Many Mercedes as far back as the 1970's are still running around with nice looking original MB-Tex interiors. Mercedes has made literally millions of cars with these interiors and continues to do so today.
All of the non-Mercedes parts of the chair are new. It will be shipped partially disassembled and will require about 10 minutes to put together. Only simple hand tools are required.
This chair retains the Mercedes reclining mechanism, adjustable headrest height and headrest angle. And, it has all the standard features you would expect from an office chair, such as swivel, tilt, tension adjust, height adjustment, adjustable arms etc. This item is near impossible to find anywhere else and would be the ultimate office chair for any enthusiast. There is a signed and dated "Rebirth Certificate" attached to the underside of the chair that details exactly which vehicle this seat is from (by year, make, model and VIN) and ensures its uniqueness.

The weight capacity of this chair is 225 pounds and the top of the seat cushion can be adjusted from 19.25" - 22.25" but the seat easily compresses to as little as 18.25" as soon as you sit in it.
